This Centre is open two days a week
providing care and support for older people in the Stanway area who have been
referred by Social Services. It provides support for the more frail older person
giving them, their carers and relatives a break from regular routines.
About the Centre
• To provide support for frail
and less abled older people, giving them, their carers and relatives a break
from regular routines.
• To offer the opportunity
to 24 people a week to have access to a Centre which will endeavour to provide
social activities, personal care, health promotion, counselling, information
and advice, and concern for their welfare.
• To ensure that each Guest
is allowed freedom of choice, to do what they want, in order to meet their needs.
• To try and ensure that the
Guests feel that their visit to Grymes Dyke Court Day Centre is the highlight
of their week.
• Essex Social Care guests will be collected
and returned to their homes by minibus with a competent driver and
escort.
• Refreshments and a midday
meal will be provided.
• A small charge will be payable
daily to cover the cost of beverages and the meal.
• Special outings will be arranged
to suit the needs of the Guests.
We also accept Private Guests who do not meet the Essex Social Care criteria for a set fee.
