We need 5,000 (yes, five thousand!) little hats by the end of September in this year’s Big Knit 2010. Can you help us meet this challenge?
The hats are put onto Innocent Drinks that will be found in Sainsburys and other supermarkets towards the end of the year and for each hat that we knit we will receive a donation from Innocent.
All the monies we are able to raise by this fundraising initiative between Innocent and Age UK will be used for Winter Warmth events in the Borough of Colchester.
There are three levels of knitting patterns - beginners, intermediate and advanced. We are giving below the basic beginner pattern, but, if you would like details of the more advanced patterns then please contact the Age Concern Colchester Office on 01206 368420 and we will pop one into the post for you.
Knitted hats will need to be with us by the end of September so we can meet the deadline with Age UK and Innocent Drinks. When you bring your hats to our office please be kind enough to leave your name and address so that we can keep you up to date as to how much Big Knit 2010 has raised.
