A new Project has just started in Colchester that aims to make the area an even safer place to live, further improve the quality of life for the community and to reduce the fear of crime.
The objectives of the project are to:
• Reduce Crime
• Reduce the Fear of Crime
• Improve the Perceptions of Anti-Social Behaviour
• Increase Community Confidence
By working in partnership with other organisations, for example Essex Police, Essex County Council, Colchester Borough Council, The Crime Disorder Reduction Partnership, there will be a more co-ordinated approach to addressing concerns raised by local residents about the community in which they live.
By listening and working alongside the Neighbourhood Action Panel, Residents and Community Associations, schools, local voluntary and community groups and local residents to name only a few, together we can make real and long lasting improvements for future generations.
